At Ortho Unlimited, we believe that your orthodontic experience should be as advanced as it is comfortable. That’s why our team—led by Dr. Abod, Dr. Mariotti, and Dr. Serio—stays at the forefront of innovation, bringing you the latest in cutting-edge technology. Today’s orthodontic care is more efficient, more precise, and more personalized than ever before—and we’re proud to be delivering that level of excellence to every patient who walks through our doors. From 3D printing and AI-assisted treatment planning to digital scanning that replaces uncomfortable impressions, we're redefining what modern orthodontics looks like.

3D Printing: Precision You Can See

3D printing has transformed the way we approach orthodontic care by allowing us to produce models right here in our office. At Ortho Unlimited, we offer in-house 3D printing capabilities that give us greater control over the speed and accuracy of your treatment. Our specialized lab technicians can create precise 3D models of your teeth, which are especially helpful for fabricating replacement retainers quickly and efficiently. This technology means shorter wait times, better fit, and the convenience of having digital models on file, making it easier to secure new retainers in the future. With the support of our doctors, this advanced approach ensures your orthodontic care is both high-tech and highly personalized.

AI-Powered Treatment Planning

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we map out your smile journey. By using AI-powered software, we can simulate tooth movement, predict treatment outcomes, and build more efficient, customized plans. This advanced technology helps ensure your treatment stays on track—and may even reduce your time in braces or aligners. With data-driven insights, we’re able to make smarter, faster decisions for better results.

Digital Scans: No More Goopy Impressions

Remember those messy, uncomfortable dental impressions from years past? Thanks to digital scanning, those days are officially over. Our high-resolution intraoral scanners capture a detailed 3D image of your teeth in just a few minutes—no trays, no putty, and no gag reflex involved. Not only are digital scans far more comfortable for patients, but they’re also more accurate, allowing for a precise fit when it comes to appliances like clear aligners or retainers. These scans also give us a valuable visual tool for tracking your progress and making adjustments along the way. We rely on these scans to streamline the diagnostic process and ensure every step of your treatment is based on the most accurate data available.

Why This Technology Matters to You

At Ortho Unlimited, technology isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a vital part of how we deliver high-quality care. These advancements reduce the number of office visits you need, minimize discomfort, and lead to better, faster results. Most importantly, they empower our doctors to deliver treatment that’s tailored specifically to you. Whether you’re starting your first round of braces or seeking a discreet option like clear aligners, our digital tools help make the process smoother, smarter, and more effective.

Invisalign® is a virtually invisible orthodontic treatment that eliminates the use of traditional metal brackets and wires. This process is comfortable and convenient, allowing patients to eat, drink, brush, and floss as they normally would. Treatment is effective and proven in clinical research and orthodontic practices nationwide. A certified dentist is necessary to undertake the procedure, and patients will wear a set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Total treatment time averages 11 months with the average number of aligners worn during treatment between 18 and 30. The Invisalign System combines advanced 3-D computer graphics technology with the 100-year-old science of orthodontics.

Dental flossing is crucial for cleaning between teeth, where toothbrushes cannot reach. Parents are advised to floss their children's teeth until they are around 10 years old, and able to floss by themselves. To make flossing easier, there are several innovative tools such as flossing wands available. When flossing, use an adequate amount of floss, gently guide it between the teeth, see-saw through the contact, and slide it along the sides of both teeth. Floss in a predictable order, such as starting from the upper right, going around the upper arch, and then moving to the bottom, going in order on that arch as well. Regular flossing can help prevent dental complications.

Orthodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on correcting improper bites and tooth irregularity. Orthodontists can help patients of any age improve tooth and jaw problems and can also assist those who desire cosmetic improvements. Orthodontics has a rich history, dating back to as early as 1000 B.C. Today, orthodontists use various methods to correct dental problems such as dental braces, headgear, expansion appliances, and retainers. Orthodontic treatments can last from six months to several years, depending on the patient's specific problems. Straight teeth are not only aesthetically pleasing but also easier to clean and help in biting, chewing, and speaking effectively.

It's recommended for children to have their first orthodontic consultation by the age of 7, but adults and seniors can also undergo orthodontic treatments. Interceptive orthodontics is a technique that addresses certain orthodontic problems between the ages of 7-11 and can result in fewer extracted teeth and better patient compliance. Some techniques used in this interceptive phase include arch expansion and orthopedic growth appliances to enhance jaw growth. This acts as Phase 1 of a two-step orthodontic treatment, making Phase 2 simpler, shorter, and less extensive.

If you're experiencing discomfort with your teeth, it's best to go to a dentist for a diagnosis. However, if the issue is related to misalignment or temporomandibular disorder, you should visit an orthodontist. Orthodontists can provide customized solutions to issues such as overcrowding, overbites, and underbites that do not result in too much discomfort. They can also provide consultation to identify any treatment options and causes of TMJ. Patients can visit either a dentist or orthodontist for dental emergencies.
